Founded in 1999 to give farm and acreage owners an affordable alternative for privacy, windbreaks, and beautification.
Our History
Founded in 1999, Crystal Springs Trees began to offer farm and acreage owners an alternative to high-priced spruce trees. Since then, we have grown to plant over 200,000 trees during the months of May, June and October.
Our Secret
We supply and plant only 4–6 foot White Spruce trees — the size that best transplants with the highest success rate. Each tree rootball is injected with transplant fertilizer prior to shipping.
Our Process
Once your minimum order of 30 trees is placed, delivery takes approximately 7–10 days. We use a hydraulic drilling system that provides a 22" wide hole. Each tree is dropped in, staked, then mulched.

Before Our Arrival
A little prep goes a long way toward healthy, thriving trees.
Site Prep
We recommend tilling the soil where your trees will be planted. Spruce trees grow faster and fuller when the soil beneath them is kept black.
Locate Underground Utilities
If you are uncertain where all underground services are located, have them marked for free at clickbeforeyoudig.com before we arrive.
Water Source
It is recommended that you water your spruce trees with surface water. Most ground water in Alberta is high in sodium, which can be lethal for spruce trees. Our spruce trees need 2 gallons of water twice a week.
